Sosuke in Christchurch Red Zone

My Sosuke just came back from Christchurch Red Zone.
He's been there a few times since the earthquake.
I still remember our Hungarian friends had to move up & live with us for about a month until they found a place to live. They settled down there and had their own business there, but after two big earth quakes, they had to choose to leave the city. It was hard for them without water & power when they had a baby to look after...　It was just about a year ago of this time of the year.

そうすけは、今日、クライストチャーチのレッドゾーン（地震で侵入を認められてない危険ゾーン、IDがないと入れてもらえない）ところへお仕事に行って来ました。彼は地震後2,3度クライストチャーチで仕事をしました。無事に帰ってきてよかった。
今でも、クライストチャーチに住んでいたハンガリー人の友達が、2度の大きな地震で、水も電気もなく、赤ちゃんを育てるには不便なため、せっかくそこで地盤を築いていたのに、あきらめてうちで1ヶ月ほど、新しく住むところが見つかるまで一緒に暮らしたのを覚えています。ちょうど、去年の今頃でした。

My home country had a world-record earthquake too. All we could do for them was to participate in the fundraising event and accommodate somebody who needed a place to sleep.
What we can do is limited but you never know what's around the corner and the best is to take everyday as a gift.
私の母国でも、世界記録に残るほどの大きな地震がありました。私にできるといえば、おうちが必要な友達に場を提供してあげたり、募金活動に参加するくらいでした。私ができることは、小さなことですが、人生、この先何があるか誰にもわかりません。なので、一日いちにちを大切に生きていけたらベストだと思います。
