Auckland Art Gallery and City Tour

We went to Auckland Art Gallery.

They have refurbished last year and it was very beautiful and interesting.

I always liked Victorian Art & etching prints and was not always fond of contemporary arts except today!

This one was so interesting. I went back and forth and you discover more and more.

I like to see the art first and think of what artist want to say then when I have the answer, you go back to check the title of the art.

This was the End of the Twentieth Centry.

It contains the whole world, materially and spiritually.

This is a human monkey in Albert Park.

This is also rare to see:)

Valentine's Day

I got Sosuke and his Hungarian friends back from the trip on Valentine's Day:)

I made a card for Sosuke and Liquid Soap using recycled bottle and wrappings.

This one is Joco Special Soap.

Sosuke bought my favourite flowers.

back to work

While Sosuke & his visitors are travelling up North, Ponyo is back to work.

It is always so busy and get very easily stressed there...

however,,,  I had one thing made my day today.....

that our candles are going to be delivered overseas...

Working on new products

Hello everyone.
How was your new year?
I had been working very long hours at my other job. ( I actually enjoyed working as a receptionist:)

Last year was tough for me.
My body was so weak.
I had fistula, surgery in Jan and May and recurrence of it in September.
I went back to Japan in July but had diarrheoa almost whole time I was there..
My tammy was sore all the time...
I had again abnormal smear test in November...
People tell me that I have to eat well but the thing is that my tammy cannot digest food...

I decided to pray, used affirmation and tried to picture that I recovered fully.

I had to change diet too. I stopped eating processed food. No alcohol, less milk, one nicely brewed coffee in stead of instant coffee. I ate breakfast no matter what and Multivitamin supplements and iron tablet.(Supplements helped a lot until my body started to recover and you know when to take it and stop taking it.)

I also noticed that I need to have more proteins so I started to eat heaps of chick peas and corn mix salad, soy milk ( I can't have one cup at the time so little by little).

When I went to see a specialist for my abnormal smear, he suggested to have a minor surgery but I knew my body was functioning better than before. He examined and test result was better than last smear so they put me on recall not in 6 months but 12 months!

I still get tired easily. I cannot talk to people 1 to 1 for a long time as I start to get dizzy.
I need to take a nap quite often too.

I stopped teaching children Japanese on Friday too because of that reason.

I had a very nice acupuncture lady supported me too. I managed to avoid having two surgery and I am still working to be better.

Businesswise, we did good in the shopping mall before X'mas. We have to invest on new products wisely to move one step forward. It is not easy to manage yourself because it is often hard to find what I like...You spend hours and hours searching and not getting anywhere almost 2 months by now. but yes, I will work harder to get my picture come to reality.

Our first halloween experience

Sosuke is originally from Hungary and I am originally from Japan so we are not familiar with Halloween. Even though it is getting popular in Japan nowadays.
そうすけは、ハンガリー出身、私は、日本出身なのでハロウィーンにはあまり親しみがありません。最近の日本では違うかと思いますが。

We went to the Halloween market for the first time.
The weather was so beautiful, by the beautiful harbour, the place & children were dressed up very nicely. Some of them were so outstanding with ideas and we were impressed:)

Family

Today was the first day when Sosuke had a day off.

The weather was so warm, Sakura was sleeping happily on the deck.

She was so cute and Sosuke decided to join her.

今日はそうすけがひさびさのお休みでした。

天気も暖かく、さくらも幸せそうにデックで寝ていたのでそうすけも参加することに。

Chinese Herbs

I like NZ because there are a lot of cultures are here. Of course, there are more trouble when there are more people, or more cultures.

ニュージーランドにはいろんな文化があって好きです。もちろん、多くの人がいればいるほど、違った文化があればあるほど、問題もあるのですが。

What I like is that all this immigrants are foreigners in NZ. There are issues between a little island in Japan against Korea and China. There are minorities stick to the idea in NZ too but overall, I think as a foreigner we become neutral and see things neutrally.

でも、移民が多い分ニュージーランドでは外国人です。日本では中国と韓国の間で領土問題があります。ニュージーでもそのようなことで反発している少数の人達も見かけますが、全体的に、物事を客観的に見ていると思います。

I am so thankful to meet a very caring Korean Acupuncturist to trying to help me.
韓国人の鍼の先生に会えたことにとても感謝してます。親身になって患者さんがよくなることを願ってくれてます。

 She gave me this herb drink to help my stomach to digest food.
Smells bitter but not too bad.
胃腸の消化を助ける漢方薬をいただきました。匂いは苦いんですが結構飲めます。

Sosuke is away

Sosuke is away for his work.
He mowed the lawn for Sakura so she can poo easier in the garden.
Sosuke bought her new flavour dog food.

そうすけは、出張でいません。
行く前にさくらがうんちをしやすいように、草を切ってくれました。
そうすけは、新しい味のドッグフードを買ってくれました。

He chopped the firewood for Ponyo to be warm while he was away.
そうすけは、ぽにょが寒い思いをしないように暖炉用の木を切っておいてくれました。

Sakura was so happy and could feel daddy's love. She was so happy and kept dropping her toy behind Sosuke while he was chopping the firewood and wait for Sosuke to throw her toy. She kept going back to Sosuke, which is unusual for her. She is usually waits for daddy to finish his work on the deck.
さくらは、お父さんの愛情を感じたのかすごく嬉しそうでした。木を切っているそうすけの後ろにおもちゃを落としては、そうすけに投げてもらうのを待って、何度もそうすけのもとへ戻って待っているのです。いつもは、さくらは、そうすけが忙しいときは、デックの上で待っているのですが、きっとそうすけの愛が伝わって嬉しくてしかたなかったんだろうな。

As she's been a good girl, she had a freshies green bone:)
おりこうさんだったので、フレッシーズの緑色の骨をもらいました。

Movie＆a little birdie

Sosuke & I went to the movie to watch "Hotel Transylvania". It was good.

そうすけと私は、ホテル　トランシルヴァニアという映画を見に行きました。面白かったです。

After the movie, went to P.O.Box to check our mails and noticed that there was a shop open.
As we walked by the glass walls, there was a cute little bird inside and trying to get out but not realising it's all covered by the glass.
そのあと、私書箱のほうに手紙が届いていないかチェックしによったところ、新しいお店が開いていたので寄ってみることにしました。すると、ガラスの壁の向こうで小さくてかわいらしい鳥が外へ出ようとしていたのでした。

All other staff & customers couldn't do anything to rescue as there were heavy displays in the way.
I stayed outside trying to show him the little birdie to go behind the display but of course he wouldn't know...
ほかの店員や、お客さんたちは、飾ってあるものが重くてどうしようもすることができずにいました。
私は、外へ出て鳥に飾り物の後ろに行くようにジェスチャーしてたけどわかるわけないし。

Luckily, he moved to a corner so Sosuke could fit himself through the glasswall & the display.
He gently put his jacket over the birdie and I must say that the birdie was exhausted but also he knew that we wouldn't harm him. He didn't resist but sitting in Sosuke's hands.

だけど、ちょうど、角のほうへ行ってくれたので、そうすけが、ガラスと飾り物の隙間から入って、ジャケットを鳥の上に優しくかけることができました。小鳥さんも体力消耗して疲れていたのもあるけど、それよりも、そうすけが助けに来てくれたとわかったのか、なんの抵抗もなくおとなしく、そうすけの手の中にいました。

Sosuke kept talking to the birdie "it's okay, you are safe now". Sosuke went out of the shop & the bird flew away happily. It was a very nice feeling. I am so proud of my Sosuke.
そうすけは、外にでるまで”大丈夫だよ～もう安心だよ～”とずっと話していました。そしてお店の外へ出て、小鳥は幸せそうに飛び立っていきました。すごく嬉しかったです。そして、そうすけのことを誇りに思います。

Nice day.

Today was a nice day. Went to the Japanese Class with free books etc. about fires provided by NZ Fire. I got this via Sosuke. 3 recent fire incident in my own house and neighbour hood, the fire could happen anywhere anytime! Scary but it's nice to know the tricks to minimise the incident. Just like first aid training. The school should work with them and educate kids at school.

今日はいい日でした。日本語教室に行きました。ニュージーランドの消防署から無料の火事についての本などをいただいて、子供たちに配りました。つい最近3件も自分の家、近所で火事の事件があったので火事はいつどこで起きても不思議ではないものだと実感しました。怖いですね。でも、どう対処するか知っているか知らないかで事を最小限に抑えることができるかもしれません。応急処置と同じように。。。学校でもっと消防署と提携を組んで教育するべきだと思います。

今日は、近所の人が今週末ご結婚なさるということでろうそくを作ってみました。

一つは匂いなし。もうひとつは、甘い匂いで、スイートラブと名づけてみました。わざとらしいですけど：）

At night time, Sosuke & Ponyo were invited to a restaurant.

a complete day off

Today was my day off. Sosuke's work usually starts very early and he often comes home late.

So I have to take a nap when possible, otherwise I fall sick easily.

今日は、お休みの日でした。そうすけの仕事は朝が早くて夜が遅い日が多いです。

なので、体調を崩さないように寝れるときに寝るようにしています。

I made sandwiches for Sosuke and went back to bed till mid-day:)

It was so windy and rainy outside. It was so comfortable in the warm bed.

サンドイッチを作ってそうすけが仕事に行ってから、今日はお昼まで寝ていました。

外は、風が強くて雨も降っていました。ベッドはあったかくて気持ちがよかったです。

Shortly after waking up second time, I went out with my dog.

After 10 minutes, it started to rain heavily. I didn't have my waterproof jacket or cap but had some gears for my dog. So got soaking wet!

2度寝しておきた後、犬と散歩に行きました。

10分後、大雨が降ってきました。防水ジャケットと帽子をかぶってなくって、でも、いっぱい犬の荷物があったので、ずぶぬれになりました。

After 5 minutes, the sun came back and played with my dog for another 10minutes or so which is not enough for her but I had to come back because I was so wet!

5分後、太陽が戻ってきて犬と10分くらいあそびましたが、服がぬれていて寒かったので帰りました。犬はまだまだ物足りなかったかもしれないけど。

I took warm shower and watched my favourite tv program in the bed and fell asleep till 7pm.

I had headache when I woke up so I massaged my head and had soba noodle with radish and seaweed.

I cooked Hungarian french toast for Sosuke. 

Now, oranges and strawberries are seasonal fruits and they are so sweet and yummy.

帰ってきてからシャワーを浴びて、またベッドの中で自分の好きなTVを見ました。

そして、7時まで寝てしまいました。でも、おきたとき頭が痛くて、頭のマッサージをしました。

だいこんとわかめのはいったおそばを食べて、そうすけには、ハンガリー風のフレンチトーストを作りました。

And my headache is gone. Tempted to take a painkiller but I didn't:)

頭痛はどっかに行ってました。痛み止めも飲まなくってよかった。

My favourite food

Ponyo is trying to eliminate wheat, dairies for my tammy problem.
Not avoiding 100% but I am getting better at how my tammy feels when I eat something my tammy doesn't like.

ぽにょは、おなかの問題のため、できるだけ、小麦粉や、乳製品を避けるようにしています。
100％ではありませんが、おなかと相談して、もうだめだとか、これは大丈夫とか、だいぶん体のサインに気づけるようになりました。

I love donuts so much but I ate half of them. I love coffee but I only drink when I work as a treat. Somedays I have no problem at all. Some days my tammy gets funny. This Rice Cookie from Arnots is so yum. When sympathetic nerve system is over dominant to parasympathetic nerve system, it needs to be more relaxed. The most relaxing thing for the body to have sweets. For me, I don't like something too sweets. This rice cookie is not to sweet but my body feels sweet enough to keep body happy:)

ドーナッツは、大好きなんですが、今回は半分しか食べれませんでした。
コーヒーも大好きだけど、仕事に行っているときだけ、御褒美として買います。
全然問題のない日もあれば、おかしくなるときもあります。
アーノット会社のライスクッキー（小麦粉製ではなく、米粉）のクッキーです。
すごくおいしい。交感神経が優勢の場合リラックスしなければいけません。体にとって一番のリラックスは甘いものを食べることだそうです。でも、私は甘いのはあまり好きではないので、このライスクッキーが甘すぎずでも、ほどほどに甘くていい感じ。

Roasted Potetos are so yum from the local roast chicken shop but this is for my sosuke.
He only eats chicken breast but they didn't have one tonight so vegepack tonight.

ローストポテトは、地元のローストチキンのお店のもので、私のではなく、そうすけのです。
彼は胸肉しか食べられないのですが、今日はなかったので、野菜だけです。
